This one took a while to figure out. I finally tied it together by searching the newspaper archives for the address. That tied this old motel to both the New Michigan Motel and the Barnes Motel. It also operated as a real estate office called the United Farm Agency in the 1970's. As of 2022, I believe the old motel rooms are rented out as apartments and the house out front would be for the owner/proprietor. Nice to get this riddle solved at last.
