This motel started out as tourist cabins in the 1940's. A full motel building was built in the 1950's. It was operated by Floyd Bush and later William Friedrich in the early days. Mr. Bush also operated the Bush's Motel in Clare. By the early 2000's the motel was demolished to make way for what is now Top Grade Site Management LLC as of 2023. The local folks refer to this stretch of road as "the big curve".
