The Munson Cleaners outlet in Detroit goes back to 1934 and was operated by Thomas Munson who passed away in May 2020. The original location was at 3325 W McNichols Rd. Like many Detroit businesses from the old days, they also opened up in the suburbs. The Lathrup Village store is still open as of 2023. The mentions in the newspapers regarding the Detroit location end in the 1990's. As of 2023, Ram Leather Care occupies that address. The old purple trucks on the vintage postcards are amazing.
