General Information:

I have a feeling the Grand, the St Ignace, and the Show Theatre are all the same. I have covered the Grand Theatre HERE.

Opened in 1946 as the St. Ignace Theatre, it was shuttered in the late 1950’s. It was reopened in 1959 as the Show Theatre, the name that the townsfolk always referred to it as anyway. The theatre closed in 1980 and was turned into a retail store in 1986. It remains so today. [Cinema Treasures]

I should point out that the Show Theatre and the St. Ignace Theatre are the same. I was talking with an employee of the store and she told me that although the theatre was officially called the St. Ignace Theatre, locals called it "The Show". The theatre itself closed around 1980, and the store "The Show"s been in business since 1986.
