I found a US Census entry for Vern and Donna Buskirk and it indicated their home (and probably the motel) was near the city limits. It turns out this location is just south of the city limits so I am going to assume this was in fact the Buskirk Motel. The other unidentified motel was much further down, south of Wright's Corners. I am still working on the name for that one.
Update 10/5/2024: I have 2 unidentified motels near Marshall on 17 Mile AKA Brewer St AKA US-27. One of them is probably the Buskirk Motel based on some articles and directories I found below. I still can't say which is which 100%.
This is another motel on 17 Mile I have yet to identify. There was once a service station in front of it. There is a low fence left on the lot as of 2023 that may go back to the old motel, otherwise the buildings are gone. The place goes back to the early 1950's.
