This motel goes back to 1954 at least as it appears on the historical aerial photo from that year. I am 90% certain the Northland Motel and Alpine Country Inn are the same place, albeit with an addition to the building which came later. The layout matches up and the sign is unmistakably similar. The general location as described on the postcard is also correct. According to Google Maps, the motel is currently closed as of 2022. Perhaps new owners will give it another try at some point.
