This showboat operation goes back to 1937 according to the newspapers. It served as a platform for live entertainment for many years. More recently it was a concert venue before it fell into disrepair and closed in 2013. Eventually the boat was sold for 50 dollars and scrapped in 2015. I am not sure if the boat demolished then was the original, there may have been an earlier version.
