There were at least 3 dance pavillions at Walled Lake Amusement Park (AKA Cenequa Shores) over the years, at least one of which was destroyed by fire. I have set up this page to document them all rather than separately as it gets confusing as to which is which. One of them was known as the Walled Lake Casino and featured big band acts like Lawrence Welk and many others. There used to be a radio show broadcast from the spot.
In later years, the place featured rock acts like Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, The Amboy Dukes, Mitch Ryder and many others. In it's later years, I recall one of these pavilions was the last remnant of the park operating as a flea market. It fell into disrepair and either burned or was demolished. The roads have been reconfigured in that area and there is no trace of the amusement park or dance halls today.
