I would estimate this hotel/restaurant/gas station combo goes back to the 1940's or 1950's. There was a fire in 1953 when Emmet Vallier owned it. He also owned the Vallier IGA next door (now Shur Fine Food as of 2025). I have posted a postcard for the store also.
Mr. and Mrs. Reno Yaden ran it in 1965 after Mr. and Mrs. George Dauber bought it from Mr. and Mrs. James Sipe. There was once a beauty salon in the hotel in the 60s. The hotel came up for sale again in 1991 for $94K. It appears to be operating as a Bed & Breakfast as of 2025.
