The old Grand Motel was operated by James and Walley Massaway, probably starting in the 1950's. James operated many businesses in the area, including the Hub Restaurant on 6 State St (formerly old post office building), Green Lantern Cafe, American Legion Hut, Massaway Coffee Shop (which they sold in 1957), and maybe others. I don't have the exact address of the motel yet. The Massaway's lived on Robinson and E McCann which are situated N of the Ferry Docks so it was probably around there somewhere.
