The Northerner Motel goes back to the 1950's. It seemed to be affiliated with the Breakers Restaurant next door so I will include information on that here also. The building still stands as of 2023 but it is not listed as a motel. Perhaps it is being used for apartments. Tennessee Ernie Ford stayed here in Sept 1959 and was seen signing autographs at the Breakers next door at 967 N Straits Hwy. The restaurant is still operating as of 2023 and the reviews are great.
