The Vacationland Motel goes back to the 60's I would think. It was operated by Hank and Midge Kalin back then. Alvin Flatt also owned it at one time. Mr. Flatt sold it to Mr. and Mrs. Phil Fyvie in 1964 after purchasing a florist shop in Newberry. It eventually became known as the Carousel before being demolished by 2010 or so. The slab is still visible as of 2023. The old A&W seen in the background of the vintage postcard photo still stands as of the 2020's but is no longer operating as such.
