The 8-unit Sunset Acres goes back to the 1950's and was run by Blanch E. Wenig in the early days per the postcard. Interestingly, this motel was part of a contest in 1994 in which you would submit an essay to enter and if yours was picked the winner, you got the motel. The contest was run by the owners at the time, Leonard and Elaine Casavant. This is the second time I have seen a contest like this in relation to winning a motel.
The place came up for sale in 1995 so maybe the essay contest winner sold it. The motel is still operating as of 2023 and the reviews are great. The place looks very well-maintained. If you're going to Hudson, consider staying here.
