The North Star Motel and Resort goes back to the 60's or before. It was operated by Whit Jackson back then. It was put up for sale in 1986 and 1991. At some point, the motel building was taken down and I believe the pool is no longer operational based on the aerial photo. The place lives on in 2022 as a campground mostly, with a few cabins to rent as well. Reviews are pretty good.
