This motel goes back to the 1960's at least. Not only was it classic with a nice mid-mod look, it had a Howard Johnson's next door. It at once point was part of the Golden Key chain, which from what I gather was a smallish regional chain that operated many hotels around the state. This was once the motel of choice for entertainers playing at Lofy's, a well-known venue down the street. The building still stands as of 2022 and is operating as Sunrise Studio Apartments. This motel was part of the Gold Key chain which consisted of Autorama Motel, Harlan House Motel, Park Plaza Motel, Fairlane Inn, Holiday Motel, Capitol Park Motor Hotel, and Hines Park Motel. Most of those have entries of their own if you search
