This 15 unit motel goes back to the 1950's and was operated by Ray Peterson and Bill Kleinbrook. It operated as the Cloverland Court earlier on then the Cloverland Motel when it was expanded with a 2nd story being added in 1969. This added 16 more units.
The giveaway in identifying the place (in addition to the name) was the small mid-mod building out front that appears on the Cloverland Court photo from the 1950's. That structure still stands. The motel is a few blocks from the Wisconsin state line. As of 2023, it is operating as a Budget Host Inn with good reviews.
