McKees is now Korbinski's Lakeview Motel. The Korbinski family has owned this resort since the early 70s. It was purchased from the Rayl family who bought it from McKeesport and built the current motel layout using the same foundation. Before McKeesport it was Denton Creek Motel owned by the Lattau family. Before that I believe it was given to a soldier from the revolutionary War by the govt. Before that I understand (not 100 percent) it was an Indian encampment. The Korbinski is the longest running owners of this property which sits at 364 west Houghton lake drive (m 55 ) Prudenville mich. And they are also the longest continuously owned and run resort in Houghton lake
