The Bay was opened by Norman Van Wormer in 1959 with a capacity of 300 cars. It operated until 1976. Based on the aerial photos, it seems evident the old projection booth/snack bar foundation was used for a home on the lot which still stands today. The Bay evidently suffered some storm damage in 1965, it must have been repaired if it lived on until the early 1970s.
