Cromer's goes back to 1950 for sure but probably way before that. The mentions in the newspapers I found sort of stop around 1968 but it may have lasted longer than that. That entire block looks as though it has been completely redeveloped so I am not seeing anything left of the original Cromer's building as of 2023.
